Alessandro Reitano joined Sky Deutschland in 2008 and took overall responsibility for sports production in 2015 and Continental Production Operations in 2021.

From the introduction of the first 3D broadcast, the implementation of UHD and followed by UHD-HDR & Dolby Atmos as a serial standard for the top sports events at Sky to further successful technological developments such as the first VR transmissions at the DFB Pokal Final or the successful first E2E 5G multi-camera operations in Europe, he is one of the main driving forces behind the development of new workflows and innovations in the field of sports production.

From the idea to its completion in July 2017, he led the construction of the new Sky Sport HQ broadcasting center in Unterföhring near Munich, which sets new standards in studio technology and efficient and effective production processes.

In addition to his role as Senior Vice President Continental Production Operations he also acts as Chairman of the Sports Video Group Europe (SVG Europe) since May 2019.
