Heads of Content confirmed – New exhibitors present future topics

At SportsInnovation 2020 in Düsseldorf, numerous innovation drivers from the fields of Broadcasting, Digital Services, Match Analysis, Matches and Tournaments as well as Stadium Experience will once again present their companies and products from 25 to 26 March 2020. “This at once compact and exclusive live platform offers companies the ideal conditions in which to convince business partners of the potential and benefits their solutions can bring to the respective sports,” explains Heinz Küsters, Director SportsInnovation Messe Düsseldorf.

The MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA in Düsseldorf offers exhibitors the ideal conditions in which to present their cutting-edge technologies to the world of sports during several live innovation matches.

Among the exhibitors is Vodafone Deutschland GmbH, which is opening up completely new fields of application for entertainment with its real-time mobile network and will showcase the potential offered by the new 5G mobile radio standard in the MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA. Riedel Communications GmbH & Co. KG is represented at SportsInnovation for the second time and once again presents its solutions for live broadcast technologies and fan entertainment as well as OTT and Second Screen solutions.

Umbrella SoftwareDevelopment GmbH presents its Soccerbot360 at the SportsInnovation 2020 and shows how this technology optimizes the training operations of top clubs through data analysis.

FUTURE SUMMITS provide perspective and insight on SportsInnovation 2020

To prepare for SportsInnovation 2020 in Düsseldorf, Messe Düsseldorf held FUTURE SUMMITS in Beijing and New York, in cooperation with DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga [German Football League] and SportsInnovation gold sponsor deltatre. Leading personalities from the worlds of sport and media joined the organisers to discuss the important role technologies play in the further development of the sports industry in China and the USA. Invitations to SportsInnovation 2020 in Düsseldorf were issued at the same time.

A top-class programme of talks

The wide range of exhibitor presentations in the arena’s VIP suites and Business Club are supplemented by the programme of talks on the main stage. These talks are held by top-class speakers and provide an exclusive outlook on future trends and technologies.

Heads of Content Christian Holzer and Dr. Hendrik Weber are responsible for the Match Analysis module. They highlight how the combination of event and position data as well as the availability of advanced KPI may change match analysis.

Tim Achberger is Head of Content for the Broadcasting module. In his talk, Tim Achberger takes a closer look at the following questions: Which innovative technologies will be used in the field of broadcasting for the Bundesliga in future, and which impact will this have on the Bundesliga as a media product?

Michael Brill, Head of Content for the Stadium Experience module, shares his experience and knowledge regarding the needs of event organizers and visitors within the fields of fan entertainment, advertising, ticketing, technology and the operation of sports venues.

Professor Daniel Memmert, Head of Content for the Matches & Tournaments module, presents his concept, which focuses on (technical) innovations in cognitive training. These innovations will be presented and discussed live at the arena.
