Tim Achberger becomes Head of Content of the "Broadcast" thematic area at SportsInnovation 2020.
As Head of Innovation & Technology Management of Sportcast GmbH and Member of SVG Europe Advisory Board, he coordinates and is responsible for all innovation topics within Sportcast as well as all innovation topics related to the media product Bundesliga, with a focus on broadcast, within the DFL Group.
For 13 years he has been involved in many innovation projects within the DFL Group and additionally acted as project manager of the "Sportcast Innovation Game 2015" in Wolfsburg and the resulting "SportsInnovation 2018" in Düsseldorf.
"The Bundesliga is already produced to the highest technological standards and is also a driver of technological innovation. But what innovative technologies will be used in the Bundesliga in the broadcast sector in the future and what impact will this have on the media product 'Bundesliga'?"
Head of Content – Stadium Experience | Michael Brill
Managing Director of D.LIVE - the operating company of, among others, the MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA and the ISS DOME will be "Head of Content" of the "Stadium Experience" theme area of SportsInnovation 2020.
D.LIVE unites the "Venues of Düsseldorf": the MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA, the ISS DOME, the Mitsubishi Electric HALLE and the CASTELLO Düsseldorf. As Managing Director of D.LIVE, Michael Brill is familiar with the wishes and requirements of the various sports that are hosted in his venues, from the local Bundesliga club Fortuna Düsseldorf and - for a transitional period - also from KFC Uerdingen 05 or the first league ice hockey club Düsseldorfer EG as well as the Bundesliga handball players from Bergischer HC (both ISS Domes).
"With our venues we are excellently positioned to offer the sport the appropriate framework, both nationally and internationally," says Michael Brill. He has been working in the live entertainment industry for almost 30 years. His experience and knowledge of the needs of event organizers and visitors make him the ideal person to fill the position of Head of Content for the "Stadium Experience" block of topics at SportsInnovation 2020, where fan entertainment, advertising, ticketing, technology and operation of sports facilities will be presented and discussed.
Head of Content – Match & Competition | Prof. Dr. Daniel Memmert
Prof. Dr. Daniel Memmert
Professor Dr. Daniel Memmert will be Head of Content of the thematic area "Match & Competition" at SportsInnovation 2020.
As managing director of the institute and professor at the Institute for Training Science and Sports Informatics at the German Sport University Cologne (DSHS), he deals with topics from sports psychology (cognition and tactics) as well as sports informatics (pattern recognition and simulation), holds coaching licences in the sports of football, tennis, snowboarding and alpine skiing and is also the publisher and author of textbooks on modern football training.
His concept focuses on (technical) innovations in cognitive training, presented and discussed on site under live conditions.

And what roles do creativity, game intelligence, anticipation, perception, attention and memory processes play?"
From 2009 to 2016 he was head of the Institute for Cognitive and Sports Games Research at the German Sport University Cologne. So far he has been able to acquire 4 DFG projects in the field of computer science and 4 DFG projects in the field of psychology. In addition, he has completed several research stays (e.g., USA, Canada), won various prizes (e.g., DOSB Science Prize Bronze, Research Writing Award AAHPERD), acquired numerous other third-party funded projects with a volume of more than 5 million euros, works on international editorial boards (e.g., PSE) and publishes in international journals. From 2009 to 2013 he was managing director of asp (Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Sportpsychologie), from 2012 to 2016 he was editor of the Journal of Sports Science (behavioural science), from 2016 to 2018 he was associate editor (psychology) for the journal Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport, from 2017 he is co-editor of the Journal of Sports Psychology and since 2008 he has been deputy spokesperson of the dvs commission "Sports Games". His institute cooperates with various Bundesliga football clubs, the German national football team as well as DAX companies and organises the first international continuing education master's course "Game Analysis".
Head of Content – Match Analysis| Christian Holzer & Dr. Hendrik Weber
Christian Holzer and Dr. Hendrik Weber become Heads of Content of the thematic block "match analysis" at SportsInnovation 2020.
As a member of the deltatre AG board of directors and managing director of Sportec Solutions, Christian Holzer has been active in the fields of data acquisition and analysis, artificial intelligence and wearable technologies for over 20 years. Christian Holzer received the Innovation Award of the German Economy in 2006 and is still responsible for the conception and introduction of innovative digital products and technologies. These include optical tracking and performance solutions, virtual reality and cloud data analytics solutions. Christian Holzer not only managed the development of digital solutions for the Bundesliga and FIFA, but was also responsible for technology projects with the NFL and leading sporting goods manufacturers.
Dr. Hendrik Weber
Dr. Hendrik Weber has been in charge of the DFL's sports technology topics since 2011. In his role he is responsible for the introduction of the Official Match Data, Goal Line Technology, Video Assist Technology and the Official Ticketing Secondary Market of the Bundesliga and 2nd Bundesliga. Together with Christian Holzer, he is also managing director of the DFL company Sportec Solutions, which is the innovation driver within the DFL Group and responsible for the areas of match data and sports technology. With a doctorate in business administration, Hendrik Weber is not only active nationally and internationally as a speaker in the field of sports technology, but also regularly serves as an author of scientific publications and as an expert in numerous specialist commissions.
In this thematic block, the aim is to present how game analysis could be changed by combining event and position data and the availability of advanced KPI.
