The future of the sports industry came to MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA in Düsseldorf on March 4–5, 2026.
At the fourth edition of the event, we once again explored new technologies, listened to inspiring talks and presentations, and gained comprehensive insights into what will set the standards for the future of sports.
INNOVATION LAB
Once again, we have set up a dedicated area where the latest technologies and innovations are showcased in an even more impressive way. Here, visitors could learn more about the innovations on display, such as the RoboCup and Glice’s synthetic ice.
INNOVATION GAMES
Once again this year, the “Innovation Games” were the centerpiece of SportsInnovation: Sports teams competed on the field and on the specially installed Glassfloor, while the interested professional audience was treated to live demonstrations of the associated technological possibilities.
EXPO
Custom-designed exhibition areas and inviting networking lounges provided the perfect setting for connecting with potential clients and exchanging ideas with leading companies and experts. Over 60 exhibitors and partners showcased their offerings here.
CONFERENCE PROGRAMME
The high-profile conference program brought together industry experts on three stages, where they presented and discussed the most important topics and emerging trends in the field of sports technology. The stages covered topics such as 3D data, artificial intelligence (AI), and new possibilities in the media broadcasting of sporting events. A total of 115 speakers participated.

“One of the most interesting tech events, I think, I have ever been to. The most fantastic part is that they have live games going on and the technology is being demonstrated on the field. This is really special.”
CEO, The Palmer Group

“As far as I know, there is nothing quite like this in the United States or North America. And what makes it unique is the combination of both a live field of play where you can demonstrate live technology, showcase and present it, alongside a conference that features panel discussions and expert speakers, and exhibitors from all around the world.”
Executive Vice President, Business Development & Innovation, NHL
